NOTE: For the purpose of clarity, not all surfaces and components to be cleaned
and painted are identified in the following photographs. The Contractor shall be
responsible for cleaning and painting all surfaces and components similar to
those indicated unless otherwise noted.
A. Clean and paint main steel frames, columns, purlins, girts, stiffener plates,
bracing angles, base plates, nuts, bolts, washers and all ferrous metal
components of the building structural frame.
B. Clean and paint roof metal flashing, gutter and fascia.
C. Clean and paint PVC downspouts.
D. Replace existing pipe hangers and rods supporting downspout with new
identical stainless steel pipe hangers and support rods.
E. Clean and paint mounted light fixtures. Cover and protect clear plastic
lenses from paint.
F. Clean unistrut and replace existing downspout pipe clamps, nuts and bolts
with new stainless steel pipe clamps and hardware.
G. Clean and paint pedestrian doors and door framing on both sides.
H. Pressure wash interior of belt filter press building.
I. Cover and protect from moisture and damage Control Room roof during
project work.
J. Pressure wash vertical and horizontal unistrut members supporting
overhead pipes and equipment.
K. Clean and paint platform tube column, base plate and all hardware.
L. Clean and paint interior metal pipe components. Extent of coating is from
below the PVC pipe transition to concrete floor penetration.
M. Clean and paint light fixture, light pole, base plate and all hardware.
N. Clean and paint existing fire hydrant. Existing coating is lead-based paint
and shall be completely removed and properly disposed of prior to
painting.
